PRIVACY NOTICE.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE

Dibble Films, a sole trader business based in Greater Manchester, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. It is not an incorporated company registered at Companies House.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, use our contact form and mark your message “Privacy request”.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, optional organisation, enquiry category, message and the time you submitted it. Please do not include sensitive personal information or information about other people unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

Our website hosting and service providers may also process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details and error logs, to operate and protect the website.

WHY WE USE IT

We use enquiry details to read and respond to your message, discuss possible projects and maintain relevant correspondence. We also use submission details to limit spam and misuse.

Our lawful basis under the UK GDPR is our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries and keeping the website secure. When you ask us to take steps towards a contract, that processing may instead be necessary for those pre-contract steps. Records may also be kept where a legal obligation requires it.

Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

If you join our newsletter, we store your email address and when you signed up, with your consent, to send updates about upcoming films, festival screenings and new releases. You can ask to unsubscribe at any time through the contact form.

STORAGE AND SERVICE PROVIDERS

Enquiries are stored in Lovable Cloud, not displayed publicly on this website. Dibble Films and the service providers needed to store and handle enquiries process this information. Once enquiry email alerts are enabled, the enquiry will also be sent to our business inbox and handled by our email providers.

Information is kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry, any resulting working relationship, and applicable legal or record-keeping requirements. The appropriate period depends on the purpose and whether a record is still needed; there is no fixed automatic deletion period currently configured.

FONTS AND EXTERNAL LINKS

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to retrieve them, which can disclose technical information including your IP address. External links take you to services with their own privacy notices.

YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or portability. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

You can raise a concern with us through the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
